The 2025 edition of the Architecture Student Competition, organized by Saint-Gobain on a global scale, will take place in the Nord-Isère region of France and consists of two tasks: the restoration of existing buildings and the design of new buildings. The aim of the competition is to develop sustainable projects that are highly energy efficient, have a low carbon footprint and provide a comfortable environment for their users. Open to undergraduate and graduate students, the competition expects participants to submit designs that combine innovative technologies with traditional architectural elements of the region. The competition, which consists of two stages, national and international, has a deadline for team registrations of 31 March 2025 at 12:00 (France time) and a deadline for project submissions of 25 April 2025 at 23:59 (Turkey time). The winner of the national stage will be eligible to participate in the international stage and will have the opportunity to compete with other country winners at a gala event to be held in Nord-Isère between 16-18 June 2025.

27 February 2024 between 16:30-17:30 at room no. 123A Taşkışla İTÜ, in the framework of MIT617E Special Topics in Architectural History, workshop ‘Space and Representations: Context and Meanings of Christian Iconography’ will take place with the participation of Assis.Prof.Dr. Natsuko Kuwabara (Waseda University), Vildan Papaker, Nihan Çetinkaya and hosted by Assis.Prof.Dr. Miyuki Aoki Girardelli. Talks will be delivered in English.
