Although we have many tools and technologies to prevent fires today, fires still continue to threaten our lives. In addition to the economic losses incurred, many building users are either injured in these fires or are cut off from life.

It is of course possible to limit the fire risks in the buildings we live in. For new buildings, these measures can be taken from the first stages of design; in existing buildings, measures can be taken after determining the measures according to the risks. In this process, certain responsibilities fall on all areas of work and expertise related to fire safety, especially architects, who are involved in building design and construction.

The Architecture and Fire Symposium aims to shed light on the subject from many aspects by bringing together scientists working on fire safety in buildings, practitioners, manufacturers and importers of building elements and materials, law and standard makers, units authorized to control and license, and employees of teams involved in extinguishing fires.

We will be delighted to have you share your scientific studies, professional experiences, findings and suggestions on fire safety at this symposium to be held at ITU Taşkışla on May 8-9, 2025.
